They suck. Can we get some new, cooler ones???

Someday I'll come up with something profound to put here.

Now that things are settling down a bit, I figured I'd bump this. We could still use some cool smilies!!

So, we have 11 little pilot guys and 3 generic ones. I've got to tell you that A) it can't be a huge priority for us when compared to a long list of other projects we've got in progress and B) that we'll, ahem, agree to disagree about whether or not "they suck."

Having said all that, I am curious as to why you don't like them, and especially which ones you think we're missing. (Please don't tell me you want Jim's little blue guy that vomits! )

If you haven't heard about the Honey Badger, search you tube at your own risk, I'm not posting the link here! (Look for "original narration by Randall")

Actually, I kinda like aviator guy, but they all look the same. One or two (or even all of them) would be okay, but more variety would be good. I do the smilies on the Purple Board. They're pretty easy to add and arrange. When I see one that I think fits in with our board, I add it on. When we first started expanding our smilies, we created a thread asking folks to post some suggestions. Got a lot of good ones and a lot that we rejected for various reasons. We could probably do the same here.

As Mike suggested, the popcorn eating guy is a good one for those hot topic, no real correct answer threads (think composite vs aluminum vs wood construction). This works for the beating a dead horse smiley too. Then there's the tinfoil hat smiley. That's popular for the conspiracy folks. And don't forget the "This thread is useless without pictures" smiley for those that are camera deficient.

Smilies help make the board fun. And a fun board will attract more members (although we have a good start here!!). As the board develops a personality, good smiley opportunities will present themselves.
Someday I'll come up with something profound to put here.

Fair enough - good feedback! While I still can't promise that it's going to be high on our list compared to some other work that's ongoing, let's see some more suggestions! And while we're at it ... any artists out there want to sign up to make some of these?
