I use it on all the aluminum surfaces of my Zenith 601 (now 650) kit before I prime them with either a very light coat of white epoxy (for the ribs) or a very light coat of zinc chromate for the interior skins. It does a really good job of prepping the aluminum; I've had no issues with the adhesion of either the epoxy or the zinc chromate. I also appreciate the non-toxic non-corrosive nature of PreKote compared to alodine. I haven't used it alone for corrosion protection so I can't report on how well it acts as a replacement for alodine in that capacity. My thinking, however, is that it works well enough to allow me to keep the actual corrosion protection coating as light as possible, saving weight and minimizing my exposure to the nastier chemicals. I've been very happy with it so far and will continue to use it.
