Lisa Airplanes, the French company that debuted its $400K LSA amphib Akoya at Osh last year to much fanfare only to return to France and suspend operations due to financial problems, is back up off the floor. A Chinese investor has infused $20M for 75% of the company.

Although the plane was gorgeous and offered some outstanding, innovative features, this is one company that deserved to stay on the mat, never to get up again. The market does not need $400K LSA's and the people at Lisa who think it does do not understand the marketplace or the economics and therefore I seriously question their business acumen. They're smart tech guys who should develop some other product that can be used by the masses and sell.
