    New A&P / Repairman Certificate

Just opened the latest FAA Safety Team email I received yesterday. The subject was that new A&P / Repairman certificates issued after Jan 1st will have a new reverse, honoring Charles Taylor, the builder of the 1903 Wright Flyer engine.

I just applied for the repairman certificate for my Sonex. Hope they don't send it out until next week!

Anyone with a repairman or A&P ticket can go onto the FAA Web site and get a replacement certificate with the new Charles Taylor back side by requesting a replacement. It does cost $2.

Yeah, I share your sorrow. Got my paper certificate in November; got the plastic card last week as well. Still had Orville & Wilbur on it.

yeah, yeah, I know I can send in my $2 and get the new one; was just hoping I would have made the cut the first time around.
