    I am also looking for an active EAA club to join. Mike if you belong to one or know of one please let me know. I would like to find a EAA club where the memebers still fly.

    I have found a couple but none of the memebers fly anymore. They just meet to hold breakfest or a dinner. I want more out of a club. If you are aware of such a club I want to be part of it....

    Please understand I am not beating on these clubs. They have thier reasons for not flying anymore, I am trying to be understanding of this.

    Did you check here, I see a few chapters around the SPI area, only one listed in town though.

    The only EAA chapter in the area that I know of that is real active is at BMI

    If you are willing to travel a little I think there is light sport training available at Mt Vernon.
