    Identify that Airplane

    I saw this vintage photo in the July EAA Sport Aviation magazine in an TruTrak Flight Systems ad (Page 85). I called the TruTrak company and asked which plane it was. A fellow there said he had no idea; it was just a piece of photo art their ad marketing company purchased.

    Can anyone identify the make, model and year? See below. Thanks

    It looks a lot like a Spartan Excecutive.

    That is a Spartan Executive, one of a handful (30ish?) built between 1937-1940 or so. At first glance, it looks like it could be this one:



    But there are some differences in the antennas and possibly the lights. Regardless, this is the type.
