The Dark side of airshows....
Such sad news this morning. Will always remember him flying the Super Corsair and doing the Hoover tribute in the Shrike. R.I.P. Bob, you will be missed.
**** it. We were having a decently safety airshow season and now we lose two pilots and their aircraft in less than two weeks. I knew both pilots in passing and both were very nice guys. In fact, Bob gave me the first chance I ever had to sit in the cockpit of a Corsair even though it delayed him heading home by almost an hour...blue skies my friend.
Unfortunately in science what you believe is irrelevant.
"I'm an old-fashioned Southern Gentleman. Which means I can be a cast-iron son-of-a-***** when I want to be."- Robert A. Heinlein.
Wow, such a sad loss.
