Warbirds at Oshkosh
A few weeks ago, there was a question on here about whether there were "military planes" at Oshkosh. I assumed that he meant current military planes, and posted that Oshkosh was not the main place for flying those types.
Some took exception to what I wrote.
Here are some facts as published on another site.
In 2011 there were 367 warbirds ( historic, not active military) registered at EAA, and in 2012 there were 341.
T-6 s most numerous, then T-34s.
As for total airplanes registered, Ron Wagner at EAA says it was in the neighborhood of 10,000.
