    Dayton AirShow

Other Cubs are missing the fun at the Dayton AirShow. I had over 100 kids in my Cub for ground instruction today. Tomorrow, as I am the only Cub on the field, I will fly in the AirShow even if it is 100 in the shade.

Note the Dayton AirShow tag - a picture of a Cub that looks like mine and says "75th Anniversary of the Piper Cub". I am hot but happy!

I'll be there tomorrow, and your Cub is one of the first things on my list to see. My favorite plane. In fact, I just got my tailwheel endorsement in one today!

    You're the only Cub there?

(I want a hat like yours!)

So far, I am the only Cub at the show for the 75th anniversary of the J-3 Piper Cub. You can have a hat just like mine for FREE if you fly a Cub to AirVenture 2012. The EAA is giving all Cub owners who arrive in a Cub a hat and nice Cub flight bag. I received mine early to show others!

I will be flying around noon. Please stop and say hello.

Wish I could take a Cub to Oshkosh. Thing is....they're hard to come by. :-)

    See you at the show.

It was always a fantasy of mine to fly an aircraft in a large air show. I did it today flying a J-3 Cub, using a Sport Pilot license and will get to do it one more time tomorrow!

As soon as I landed the Cub after my Cub demo routine, the Blue Angels were allowed to fly. Because I was a little concerned about the cross winds on 24 right, I took off from what remained of the air show closed 36 after passing the spare Blue Angel 7.

    What fun!

Congrats Rick! You did a great job. It was a great contrast to the rest of the show.
