Will there be vendors selling Helinox Chairs at or around Oshkosh?

    Good Evening Guys n Gals,

would anyone know if any vendors are n site that stock the Helinox Chair One?

I've been trying to get hold of one in the UK, but the stockists have all sold out!

They weigh in at about 900g, pack down real small, and are OK with a max load of 145kg (which is almost two of me) and I really want one!

    Regards

I see a few on ebay, vender is in the UK. The legs look as flimsy as some comparable chairs sold everywhere around here, for MUCH less. Why not just get a cheaper, similar chair once you get here? Wal-Mart & others will have plenty to pick from, at 10-15% the cost.

    Hi Joe,

    I've sat in one that a mate bought in Australia and it really fitted me well. The legs do look weak but they're well up to the job. The reason I want one is that I do loads of camping, whilst riding a 225cc motorcycle and the usual chairs just either;

a, take up well too much room or
b, are uncomfortable to use (like those nasty tripod style units)

So yes, I agree they're expensive but I've tried loads of kit over the years and have never managed to find one that fits all my requirements.

I've tried contacting those I've found on Ebay, in the UK but they're out of stock and not due back in until after I leave for the US, so I was hoping to find a supplier over there.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Regards

    Hi Larry,

I'll give it a go. Who knows what I'll find there!

My biggest problem will be if I find anything for sale that relates to the DHC-2 Beaver, as I know I won't be able to resist buying it!

I'm a sucker when it comes to my favorite aircraft.

    Regards

I'll be there on wednesday and thursday. I will look for them too. I know they are pretty new and might not be there this year.
