You get to talk to a lot of pilots. I've managed to talk to the crews from many of the West Ramp (Aeroshell square, Conoco-Philips Plaza, whatever) exhibits over the years including Sean Tucker, etc..
This years big experience was having a 3-way chat on aviation safety between me, John King, and Chesley Sullenberger.
You can buy fabulous vintage books and other items at the Fly Market. The Aviator's Bookshelf tent there is always my first stop, and if you buy a lot of books they will hold them for you so you don't have to cart them around all day.
