What is it worth: Lycoming 0-145-B2, complete, no logs

    Hello,

What is a Lycoming O-145-B2 worth?

    Lycoming O-145 B2 - Complete, no log books, non-running

    Engine No: 3366

    Includes Taylorcraft motor mount

    Bendix SF4L-8 magnetos

    Stromberg NA-S2 carburetor

Seems there is a guy in PA who has parts, not sure if he rebuilds them or not.

    Thanks

That would be a great alternative engine for almost any VW powered design, but I guess there is no way to know what state it's in inside. Replacement parts will be hard to find and expensive. I'd probably pay $500 for, $1,000 if I could have a mechanic look at it first and the major components were all OK.

There are still a number of these engines flying around in Mooney Mites. You might contact the guys on their web site. http://www.mooneymite.com/ No doubt they are always looking for spares.
