    Weather Update: Washington/North Carolina Clinics

    Hey Guys,

This is today's report, based on the data available last night:

    Washington:

It looks like the dying low off the coast will continue to circulate moist air over the area on Saturday, producing mainly overcast skies and periods of light rain. The weather for Saturday should look not unlike the forecast for Thursday in the latest TAF - ceilings 2-3 thousand feet, vsby generally 6 miles or better, and 50% chance of light rain. South-southwest winds around 10 kts. Temps generally in the 50s.

    North Carolina
    :

High pressure over the area should produce great flying weather. The latest model run shows virtually clear skies, no restrictions to vsby, and winds out of the southwest around 5 kts. Temps in the 60s in the morning, warming into the 80s by afternoon.

    Another update tomorrow.

    Fly safe,

    Weather Update: Washington/North Carolina Clinics

    Hey Guys,

This is today's report, based on the data available last night:

    Washington:

Though the dying surface low we've been watching off the coast is no longer in evidence, a significant upper level low (500 mb level) will continue to bring moisture, clouds, and generally light precipitation to the area for Saturday. Both the NAM and GFS forecast models show ceilings at OLM from 1-2 thousand feet at 15Z Saturday, 2-3 thousand feet at 18z, and 2-5 thousand ft at 21z. Visibilities should be 6 miles or better, with precipitation chances in the 20-40% range and any precipitation amounts expected to be light. Surface winds from the southwest at 10-15 kts. Temperatures in the 50s to near 60.

    North Carolina:

High pressure continues to dominate the area. Models continue to project nearly clear skies and unrestricted visibilities for Saturday. Precip chances less than 10%. Surface winds from the southwest 5-10 kts. Temps in the 60s, rising to the mid 80s by afternoon.

    Nearly perfect weather for flying!

Will provide another update for the Olympia-Seattle area after today's 12z model runs have been digested. Stand by.

    Fly safe,

Weather Update: Kansas / Missouri Clinic

    Hey Guys,

This is today's report, based on the most current available data, virtually without change from the beginning of the week:

Following passage of the frontal system that worked its way through the midwest on Thursday, high pressure centered over the lower Great Lakes will dominate Saturday's weather in the Kansas City area. Barring drastic changes from current projections, expect generally scattered fair weather clouds, negligible chance of precipitation, and south to southeast winds around 15 kts. Temperatures rising to near 90 from overnight lows in the mid 60s.

Weatherwise this clinic is a definite GO!

    Fly safe and have fun,

We have 56 registered aircraft. The last minute attrition rate is between 15 and 20%. Probably 45-50.
