I just saw a PBS documentary about a guy in Canada who duplicated the dam busting project of WWII. Using what documents and notes that were available, he applied modern science and techniques to recreate the WWII project of designing and testing the bombs and the delivery systems. To complete the test, they built a scale model of one of the dams that was destroyed and had a crew from Buffalo Air drop the bomb that they had designed. Worked on the first attempt. Sorry, I can't remember the title of the program.
    Cheers,

The show is called The Dambusters Fly Again, on the History channel (canada). It was an English guy that had to come to Canada to make his dream of recreating the flight possible. PBS or whoever used a bunch of the footage called it Bombing Hitler's Dams.

Just FYI - I moved the unrelated posts to a new thread in Hangar Talk called "Jon's Blogs." Makes more sense, and that way both threads can stay on topic.

    Cheers-
