To the best of our knowledge, Canon isn't renting cameras this year - sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Canon also didn't do any rentals in 2010, any way we can push them into considering it for 2012? I'd love to test/try some equipment!

I find that a shame. I borrowed a Canon 35mm film SLR from them several years ago which begat me being a Canon film user. Then one year I borrowed one of the early digital SLRs there (and they nicely copied my images to CD for me) and that convinced me that jumping from Canon 35mm film to Canon D20 would be a painless jump.
I was really hoping I could get them to loan me a long lens (which would likely get me hooked there on a lens that cost several times what the camera bodies cost).
