    Here is my first submission.

This is a photo of a friend and his Cessna 190.
He is in his 60s, and has owned the airplane for more than 40 years. I believe he purchased it at age 24.

I think this photo shows the smooth lines, style, grace, and classic beauty of the 190 as well as the man's gentle passion for his aircraft, a plane that is as much a part of him as own arm or leg.

When we switched, we already had submissions a couple of months ahead, and I didn't want to not have a place for photos for a couple of months and lose momentum, so the schedule just keeps on keepin' on.
    Hal,

1st, its Jan 31, where is February (I'm just bustin' on ya!)

2nd, why don't you just run the contest for say five weeks each for a couple of months to cut down the lead time without having a gap between contests? Or do you want to keep the lead time in case the pics go back in the magazine???

Just thinking out loud at six in the morning! Keep up the good work.

I'm sorry, that idea is way too clever for me. Sounds like there's some math involved or something...

Six AM is too early for thinking. Especially when it makes sense, like your ideas... I try to do all of my thinking for the day at about 11:15 or so.

But, seriously - good ideas. There's no reason we couldn't adjust the dates and start bringing in the lead time.

    Thanks!
