    Prototype Spitfire K5054

    Hi everyone! Just thought you may want to know that I've just uploaded my book "Birth of a Spitfire" on Kindle. It covers the ten years I took to complete the "Spit" and might prove helpful to anyone starting their own WWII project.

    Is this the one made of wood, I think with a Jaguar engine?

    That's right, made of wood with a Jaguar V12 engine. It's now in a museum in southern England and no longer flying.
