Traffic on the AirVenture website...

I'd be curious to know if the taffic on airventure.org skyrockets after the new year begins or when it really starts picking up. I know I've been there more times this week alone than the last 2 months combined. I think it's actually being in 2012 now is driving it home that Oshkosh is on its way!

I started a reply to this last week. got pulled off onto something else, and only just now remembered to get back to it - mea culpa!

Generally speaking, there's a strong uptick in traffic to AirVenture.org in the "off season" any time we post news about the event - airshow lineup, featured aircraft, etc. On December 20th, we posted the news about the advance ticket sales, for example, and traffic that day was about 3x the average.

Of course, all of these spikes pale dramatically compared to the traffic we get in the last half of July...The daily average at that point increases by around 4,000%.
