There are so many approaches to wing structures with our ultralights, I'm curious if anyone has ever thought about which ones are the lightest. Would it be the wooden geodesic types, since their fuselages seem heavier than the open air, aluminum tube fuselages with the ladder type wing structure, covered with sail cloth and upper surface "ribs"? I'm thinking more about weight than simplicity, but if the thread drifts to simplest wing design, that's okay, too!
