I'm glad to hear you are starting your flight training. I bet you never regret it!!
Welcome back Charlie!
Joe,
Speaking as one who attended the first one, there is no registration or fee required. But they provided coffee, cookies and water.

I just wanted to note that I attended this first lecture on the Lady Be Good, and it was very well done. The weather was not cooperating due to a snow storm, but there were still about 25 or 30...
Good for you Bill. I'll buy you an ice cream during the next Airventure, if I ever meet you, or figure out who you are? It should be easy to find you though. You'll prolly be the guy with the EAA...
Brian,
I would argue that a person that just got his license is more prepared than someone who has had one for a few years. All that training fresh in mind is a good thing. You seem like...
This is a very serious matter!! Very sad. :(
Welcome Paul!
I wish Mr Hightower good luck in his future, and I thank him for his service to the E.A.A. I'm sure it took some sacrifices.
That said, I like airplanes and flying, and now after 20 years of...
Weaver,
Thanks for sharing. I can't wait until I win the give away this year. I'll have to look you up!!
Thanks for the pic!!
Sunset Supper Club, yum!!
I don't see anyone posting about tolls here. Are you aware of the hassle with tolls through Chicagoland? I use an IPASS unit which helps a lot. There may still be time to order one, maybe borrow...
I am always disappointed when I invite someone, maybe a far away relative or something, and they decide to do something else instead. The average person has no idea what they are turning down. (Now...
Oops, I thought A P2V was coming to Airventure. It's not a P2V, but a PV-2. I better read up on it.
Janet, thanks for the update. I bet John Dorcey could help with the lawn mower info!! :)
I flew just after 6:00 AM at OSH in a C172. I did see a 747, or something big, about 6 or 7 to the west, heading north, and a lawn mower by alpha, but nothing else around that time. :)
I love this show, and although I don't have cable, someone records it for me. WooHoo!! It is educational as well. I was surprised to learn about how hard life can be there, and how depressing at...
It seems to me that this is exactly the same reason that the E.A.A. was started. A group of guys who wanted to go flying but could not afford to do it the conventional way, pooling their resources...
I bought a paper builders logbook just so I could keep track of things. No need to complicate matters with a web site IMHO. I do have a personal blog that I can post to sporadically if I choose.
I sometimes think it is a bit noisy too. I guess I should o get a ride before I do any more complaining.:)
On September 10, 2001, after work, I went from Oshkosh to Shawano in my club's 172 for the proverbial "$100 hamburger" with a couple buddies from work. I remember the evening flight back as one that...
Oh Ariel, Ariel, wherefore art though Ariel. Uh em, I mean, this show seems highly educational.
Way to go Captain Kelly, pass the torch! Thank you for your service to our country as well!!
