What does one have to do with the other?
Any operation that has jumpers going across an active runway should get shut down.
I the TP going to have full deice capability?
Your math indicates best case scenario at ideal cruise. It does not take into consideration turbine inefficiencies that rear their ugly head on shorter (lower) flights, higher fuel burn during...
LOL. You ever operate a turbine aircraft? You know how much maintenance and parts cost on those engines? No offense but it sounds like you have no real experience with what you're trying to...
No one with an ounce of common sense believes they can operate a turbine for near what a B or C costs to operate.
The outflow valve on the GIV is up front near the pilot's feet. So any smell in the cabin will work its way toward the pilots.
EAA membership could be $5, but if it's not something I wish to support, then I wouldn't spend that either.
I understand that you know what benefits I receive from EAA better than I do, but Mac is simply one cog in the wheel of the direction of EAA. I just chose not to roll with that wheel anymore.
It's not "an article".......
Yes, yes I am. I joined EAA because it was about sport aviation. Mac has nothing to do with that. Therefore I don't feel the need to continue my support.
Bringing Mac onboard is one of the reasons I let my membership lapse. His writing is as far from "Sport Aviation" as one can get. It was time for me to let my money do the walking.
Forget the doodads, I couldn't help but notice the use of a big Lycoming.
Maybe but there have been many times I would have killed for thrusters while getting in and out of tight docks and marinas. Seaplanes, even more so than taildraggers, require your full attention...
No it isn't. Single engine seaplanes generally rely on forward motion and water rudders to maneuver on the water. Wind, if any, can be used to help maneuver as well, but it can also be a hinderance.
Most likely a lateral thruster to help water maneuverability at low speed.
Except, it's not a choice between a "well-performing LSA and some worn out ramp wreck". For the price of a newer LSA you can purchase a four-seater in very good condition. And let's be honest,...
Air America and Flight of the Intruder had some good Vietnam-era airplane porn. Great Skyraider scenes in Flight of the Intruder.
If it makes you feel any better, when I was on the CRJ I got to hear the smart phones being updated through the comm radios. Got the telltale "Dah dat dat Dah dat dat Dah" phone update sounds right...
Bill, I'm not going to debate you. You have no reason or information to discredit these reports, yet you try so hard to. Chances are you didn't even read the ASRS report summaries, otherwise you...
Bill, it's quite clear you have made up your mind, which is great, but as shown in the ASRS reports, just because an accident hasn't occurred, doesn't mean there may be instances of interference. If...
Bill, these are professionals reporting their experiences. It is clear that your mind is closed on this subject, which is unfortunate. My mind is definitely open to the idea that PEDs don't bother...
Instrument training will be expensive and of no use to you if your plan is to fly a SeaRay around for fun. I'd skip that idea and put those funds toward the plane. It also looks like there is at...
This is an interesting compilation of ASRS reports regarding PEDs that NASA has published. If I try harder I might be able to get more acronyms in a single sentence, but it's not easy. While many...
