I obtained my spin endorsement in an aerobat. Great little airplane, would be fun to see one on the show circuit.

There was a lack of volunteers for the trams this year apparently causing them to need to end service earlier than planned. I know one tram driver I spoke to had been working for six hours already...
That building was repurposed into a print shop for EAA. The discount store with old merch was moved to a tent near the aeromart last year. I didnt go up there to see if it was still there this year.
They even deleted comments at the end of the conversation when they locked it. Ridiculous.
Due to a work commitment we won’t be arriving until Sunday afternoon, I fear for where we will end up being located.
Ive heard so much about this aircraft over the years! Cant wait to see it in the flesh! I heard it is quite a handful in the air, with an incredibly narrow envelope.
To be fair, the shuttle buses do come along quite regularly. In all my years attending I dont think I have ever had to wait more than 10mins for a bus. The big issue is that at peak times there arent...
I believe they released the "restricted access" map today showing what areas will be, and will not be accessible on Saturday/Sunday.
If you click on the little gear icon you can select 720p and that makes the resolution a bit better. For some reason auto keeps it at potato spec, probably yet another tech glitch from EAA. Its a...
Its no rumor, those guys are there every year, I believe its a group from the Pilots of America forum? There was a connection to a business too, but I cant really remember. He is usually in Pauls...
There is a note on the EAA website that they will not be livestreaming the airshows this year.
Are the queues for Scholler during the week not much reduced compared to the weekend? It would explain the lack of an express arrival option. We always arrive the weekend prior to show start and its...
What guidelines are there in place for prospective article authors? I have considered putting my penmanship to the test on multiple occasions, but it would be the first time I had attempted to have...
Wasnt that a one time thing for the 50th Anniversary?
I see Matt Younkin had an incident today with some pretty bad damage to the Twin Beech. (Landed with left gear retracted). I wonder if they will get it back in the air for Airventure, he is involved...
extremetix is the official ticket sales website for EAA/Airventure. If you click on "buy tickets" on the EAA website it will take you there.
no problem Sam, In future perhaps send a PM to advise posters on why posts their mysteriously disappear, especially when no foul language etc is involved.
MODS - Why was my post deleted??
We are also getting into Pre-Oshkosh mode..... I just started my annual tradition of trying to convince my wife we should upgrade our camper to a new one before Oshkosh, and she has began her annual...
Now that is a nice looking bird! Thank You for sharing it with us! Will you be bringing one to Oshkosh this year? It certainly got my interest, although the 220lb max pilot weight unfortunately...
Well.....there is your answer right there....it's Airventure, not a normal RV site:D
Personally, I sit and agonize over the decision to pony up the cash for a hook-up site or just use my...
Not all that relevant to the discussion, but I had my first flight in a Scottish Bulldog way back when I was a RAF cadet 25 years ago. Great little aircraft!
I know nothing of the upgrade in question, but the 912 is a fantastic engine and it performed really well on my Rans. However for the price of a 912ULS and the Upgrades in question you are going to...
Feel free to stop and visit me at 09IA when you are in Iowa:D.
Since EAA really relies on AV for a good chunk of its annual budget, I wonder if they can arrange some kind of one-off event when this is all over? Winterventure 2020? Or a series of one day or...
