works very well
Thanks Frank for the reply - what you said is pretty much what I thought - good suggestion to think of this as maintenance.
I have an experimental (EAB) version of an aircraft that is also sold as an LSA (Arion Lightning) - I am not the original builder. The POH provided with the aircraft looks like a copy of the one...
Good comments here. Here is my take away:
1. No need to log anything about LSA compliance in maintenance records
2. Of course all maintenance will be logged in maintenance records as a normal...
A bit a of a complicated question, but here goes. Can a subsequent owner of an EAB aircraft modify the aircraft? For example lets say that aircraft has engine A and original builder signed of 40...
Thanks all for quick replies, that helps a great deal with planning
From FAR 23.1311 (5) For certification for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations, have an independent magnetic direction indicator and either an independent secondary mechanical altimeter,...
>I've installed a few of their ELT's in composite aircraft for that reason
Thanks Marc,
Did you install the antenna externally or bury it somewhere inside the aircraft?
I read 91.207 and it sounds like an EAB aircraft would requie an ELT? For those you building glass airplane what kind of antenna do you use for a 406 elt. Sounds like the hidden ones dont work for...
Thank you Marc
If I start building and make an EAB aircraft, but to initially save money it is a VFR Day/Night aircraft can it later be modified to include IFR. Would like to postpone the addition of some items...
I,ve always wondered why various Manufacturers weren,t behind this on the plus side, seems like it is only pilots and EAA/AOPA.
