put me in the skeptical column
hey SOS.....drop the logo, drop the Beer Venture, KEEP the bikinis. you won't see a nickel's worth of drop in revenue. never cease to be amazed how stupid some business people can be.
disregard, I figured it out. nice weekend to everyone.
Do we still use the "old" form for a VFR flight plan or did we finally go to the ICAO form? I thought we had but the FAAST website (AIM) still shows the old style.
Pure gold.
I'll never call "clear" again without seeing this image
I have been flying 50 years. gen av, military, airlines. I am more anxious when I fly these days, but only around the airport. Seems like I am seeing way too many untoward, unwarranted and...
"Some chapters are a little tribal"..........that is putting it kindly. If you are interested in an RV, best bet is seek out local RV builders. they may or may not be members of the chapter. just...
Sunday night was supposed to be movie Nothing By Chance. there was other stuff. schedule change or was it not shown on webcam?
I admire the airplane itself, but this thing is marketed as a jet ski with wings/water toy. I think the message about keeping it in your garage on a trailer is not to take it to the airport...
how does the old saying go? "if you crash in bad weather, they'll be picking up the pieces the next day in the sunshine"
you are correct in that this seems to happen every year. I don't think you are going to see EAA advertise that fact with a memorial though. bad for business.
absolute great project and I have nothing but admiration for the builder. but that little voice is saying "two unplanned flights" and no video? perhaps a still shot of it in the air? I want and...
I read my policy very carefully. Then I called my agent with a list of questions.....most of which she had no idea. After talking to the underwriter, she was still not clear on what is covered. I...
as I alluded to before, what the airport thinks they are covered for and what the insurance company will actually pay may be two different things. I had a similar policy and the more I dug the more...
Texas does not have a state requirement, but some municipal airports require it....but they are in the minority. typical is one million combined property and medical/100,000 personal injury. also...
completed BasicMed this a.m. (yipee!) It wasn't what we had hoped for but it is good for me for now. a word of advice...when you take the AOPA online course (after seeing the doc), recommend take...
there is a need for EAA and/or AOPA to provide a clearinghouse of docs who are doing these physicals. anyone at EAA listening?
I love the design of the airplane itself, but I wonder at the end result if and when they ship aircraft and those planes start operating in the public domain. I am concerned whether the mindset of...
if you are building from plans or a kit, prop size , for a given type engine, will typically be called out on the plans or manual. most of the prop manufacturers have lists of various...
AME would not do it. family doc has agreed to do it, but took some education. as some predicted, that seems it will be the way of it for awhile.
just tried to sched a Basic Med with my usual AME. he will not do them, citing the liability. seems to be the poison pill that was inserted into this thing. oh, well.
yeah!! its released today in final form. checklist is available for printing and take to your dr. on or after May 1. online course will be available also. available on AOPA website
hot dog! only one week until it starts. or did I miss an announced delay? EAA and Aopa sure are being quiet.
well now this brings up an interesting scenario. lets say you go to your friendly family doc (or AME for that matter) for your new Basic Med physical. and for whatever reason, you are...
