Only on his last day, when they managed to figure out a logistical deal via the young eagles, using their liability releases. He sat covered up all week sadly. and that right after the EAA awarded...
I believe EAA petty well shut down Arnie last year due to liability reasons, even after honoring him for his generous contribution of introducing many, many people to flight (including both my kids...
Ditto, from Tuesday before the show through the tower gate has never been a problem. Much of the arrival show is on the Friday and Saturday, before av officially starts.

I had heard that jimmy is a non starter because of his crazy high fee.... It's a shame though, as I think he'd be a big draw!

I personally don't have an issue with the VIP facilities themselves, but rather where it/they are located. Last year there were two, show left and show right, which made sense to me and a few others...
Sadly, I guess the grass-root voices have been ignored again in favor of a few well-heeled corp exec wallets, even with the "new direction" under Jack's watch. Maybe they could use those funds to...
I have used these from soundprofessionals.com in my ear cups, which work very well. I find it is nice to have a tiny (I use A20s) bit of engine background noise which one misses if plugged directly...
The RV would be a great plane for the raffle imho, with one proviso: It must have greater than 100hrs on it to enable importation for any Canadian winners.... :-)
