I just saw the same thing on Waterfox and my computer clock is set right.
If you keep in mind that faster boats will "plane" you can say that the fixed-wing aircraft "planes" through the air, in much the same was as a boat on water. Getting nitpicky you could also say that...
Nice, Randy and Ron -- thanks for those.
Both ways work.
Go to the section in which you want to post, then look at the light gray line just above the blue one, and click on the drop down menu called Forum Tools. As I reply to you here, I am one level too...
Thanks for telling us about Avare. I'll give it a try.
It works great on my iPad. I've never flown in an airplane with it (nor been in one for 20+ years), but it's worked beautifully with Flight Simulator for years. Wish they'd had this stuff when I was...
Excellent points, Mel...
At 6' tall, the tip of Cessna wings allow me to see under the wing a little, so I'd allow at least 7', maybe a tad more, but since you're at an airport, there should be plenty of Cessnas nearby that...
MS FS2004 will perform a lot better than FS2002, and there are folks running it on Win 10, as well as Win7. Also there are probably as many or more free downloads of aircraft and scenery for it than...
Great! Glad the improvement is already working for you. Enjoy!
Note that it does take a certain amount of adjustment to get used to the different environment, and you'll have to learn what is normal, in terms of how it feels and looks in a variety of conditions....
That's great, Ron.
They're all over, though I suspect that they may be a little more plentiful in Florida and southern California, but a lot of it is population based, so near clusters of big cities there will tend to...
You pique my curiosity, so:
The biggest problem with sans-serif is that there can be letter confusion in certain instances, such as l (lower case L) and I (capital I) on some versions. That...
Amen!
Eric makes some additional very good points, especially the upset & recovery course, the formation flying and the instrument rating (you'll learn a LOT about ALL flying techniques and increase your...
Just the hours alone don't mean a lot. The type of flying during those x# of hours means a great deal. If you spend those 1,000 hours flying a Cub or some typical LSA then you won't be well prepared...
You can drink it?
Back when I was flying a Stearman regularly, I had a snowmobile suit for the colder weather - it was windproof, as well as keeping the cold at bay. When it was just "cool" out I wore jackets and/or...
Indeed it is- congrads, Budd.
Well, the last few days I suddenly don't have the "memory" again (quite a while since the last time) on the same computer, same browser (not even updated since it last worked earlier this week)....
How high is up? As others indicate above, that has no answer without a lot of additional information, such as what are you going to do with it? What is your budget? Have you ever built an airplane?...
I'm nowhere near that area, but if you don't get much help, it's fine to take one or two lessons to try it out, then change schools if you're not happy with the results.
