Anyone know if the new rules are in Openareo yet?
Anyone else think the airplane in the new logos is missing something? Where is the elevator/horizontal stab?

Yea, I probably have no credibility
IAC should open a cheese store to go with all the whining in this thread.
And if you don’t like the unknowns you are getting at contests, draw a bunch that you can fly and submit them to Brian...
The SB you reference just says there needs to be an inspection every 1/3 of the TBO duration. It doesn't say the TBO has been reduced for acro ops. It also seems to be focused specifically on...
Giles Henderson won Sportsman at the 1971 and 1975 US Nationals and also won Sportsman at the IAC Championships (Championships of the America's) in 1983, 1986, 1987, and placed top three in many...
A single prototype Giles 300 was produced with an IO-540. The aircraft was destroyed in a 2005 crash.
Doesn't look like Adam posts much so I'll take a crack at this one since I've been on the committee a few years now. These are just my observations and nothing official from the Committee, but...
Yup, leaving here in the morning, hope to be there early to get some box time since I have not flown the known since the Seward contest in June. FWIW, my Giles isn't much further along either...day...
Mark can see what John thinks of his rolls this weekend. I'm sure John and Linda will be helping at the Newton contest this weekend. Pretty much in Mark's backyard :)
Really? I've not had a cross-box figure in my free for the past 4+ years. Only 1 contest I can think of it would have significantly helped to have one, and we were well out of wind limits anyway...
Really?? A 90 1-turn roller is very flyable in a Decathlon with a bit of practice. That's the reference aircraft for the category and pretty low on the performance scale.
How about just more frequent updates to the content. We are approaching 2 months past the US Nationals and there is nothing on the site about the this year's contest! Minutes from the board...
Thanks, not sure I'm qualified right now. I'm still hoping to be able to fly in our contest this weekend. We got the box markers all set out last weekend, but I've been spending too much time at...
The Sportsman sequence here in the States is specifically designed so an airplane without inverted systems can fly it and be competitive. Yes, there are some short periods of descending inverted...
