Thank you, I see that this is the EAA effort toward self regulation for fixed wing ultralights, which I accept as a contribution toward maintaining the priveleges of the current Part 103 system....
I don't see that being old is a factor. Would a new pilot be any better off? I have only flown powered ultralights for a few years, but I had no instructor. A "number" is required for the instructor...
1. I don't know of any ultralights using a fly by wire system, it might be good for a special crash test of some kind.
2. This question is about the initial flying of a prototype, I assume....
