Good Chapter Risk Management Question

Here at the Chapter office in Oshkosh, we get some really good questions, from chapters regarding insurance. BTW....no, you can not have a petting zoo at your next Young Eagle Rally (don't laugh...we have been asked that). :)

We received a call yesterday from a chapter that had a really neat idea. They wanted to have bicycles for people to use that fly into their airport to be able to ride into town. Great idea!

Glad she called, because....they would not be covered under their EAA Chapter Liability Insurance. We recommended that the FBO or Airport provide the bikes and insurance.

We are always happy when a chapter will call, just to verify...most of the time the answer is yes...or, we figure out a way to make it happen and make sure it is covered.

BTW, we want more chapter feedback. Next week we are emailing a very short survey (10 Questions or so) to all Chapter Presidents...to also forward to their members for feedback. We will begin doing this more often to get more feedback from you...our Chapters!
