Videos: Stalls, Incipient Spins, and Recoveries from Inverted

Now that the aerobatic season has wrapped in the Pacific Northwest, I have a little more time to work on videos. I've edited a series of short (< 3 min) videos that show a variety of stalls, incipient spins, and recoveries from inverted. I recorded these segments during flights with one of my stall/spin/upset recovery customers this summer.

Great videos! As an aerobatic newbie, I found them very educational. Thanks for sharing them.

So may we assume that there is general permission to play these videos at a chapter meeting or to a safety seminar audience?

I use the videos in presentations that I give as a FAASTeam representative. They are public. I just hope that folks understand the value and importance of getting competent flight instruction in an appropriate aircraft.

If they are public you might consider using a Creative Commons license to protect your work. In essense they allow you to share your work without giving up ownership rights to what would otherwise be copywrited material.

I'm not trying to imply that you have to use one of these, or even that you should, just putting the information out there, as I've been burned by posting information to the web in the past and later seeing it used verbatim by another and claiming it as original work. Just food for thought :cool:

Thanks for the affirmative response. I periodically host an aerobatic safety seminar and as part of the explanation of what the word might look like when you blow a figure, and why you want to get instruction, I show some videos of what the pilot sees in upright and inverted spins. I can use some of the video on your web site.
