Fly Market
Thinking of bringing a few items to sell. Anyone have any info on the fly market? Is it a consignment process? Commission? Will be interested to hear of other's experience with it.
Is there a point of contact for someone who is interested in getting details before AirVenture starts?
Thanks

Hi, Rustyr;
The Fly Market is kind of like area swap meets where folks set up tents/canopies and sell everything from tools to wallets to aluminum stock to jewelry.
The Aeromart is the place if you have a few items to sell, aviation based, via consignment.
See here for details: http://www.airventure.org/attractions/aeromart.html
You pay a $1 consignment fee to them, then they get 12% of the sales price. All proceeds support the Vintage folks, so it's worthwhile. Most of the stuff in there consists of old instruments, avionics, parts (seats/flaps/etc), that someone could use in a restoration project. You won't find jewelry or Sham-wow's in there.

There's a seller information page on the AEROMART site: http://www.Aeromart.webs.com/

I wouldn't do it.. It is a better place to buy then sell.. I put some items in the Aeromart and they disappeared and I didn't even get my $1.00 back to put it in Aeromart. If you read the tag they are not responsible for loss. If you realy want to sell something put it on Ebay.. I do it all the time and have made thousands of dollars over the years doing it
