In 1991, I wrote my Master's Thesis in Occupational Training and Development on the use of desktop flight simulators in a flight training program. I was, at that time, using an Apple IIe with FS II for the basis of my research and later an Apple McIntosh with FS 4. For the basics of understanding what an airplane does and especially how round dial instruments work together, it was really innovative for the time. Fortunately, my professor was open to innovation and I got an A (4.0). I am still using Apple products so, as nice as FS 2020 looks, I will remain with X-Plane.
