The only thing in this post that relates to Aircraft/Aviation, is the next sentence;
I cut some 6061 T6 today, unfortunately, it was a scrapped flaperon for the 701 and I used it for a bird feeder ! Sigh ! But it felt good, even used the brake !

A bit of advice before I started my aircraft build that I took to heart has paid huge dividends:
Never throw out any piece of scrap larger than two inches in diameter.
Oh, I have pieces smaller than that but this flaperon had been drilled, rolled and riveted in some areas and in general been abused. I have pretty much decided I'm not going to finish this aircraft and instead look for something already flying. LSA, low and slow, maybe something in the category of a Kolb, Flight Star or CGS Hawk. When I can get my shop cleaned out enough, (lots of stuff stored from my mother in- laws house) I can get the wings down from the loft and put it all up for sale.
