I may have a need for a replacement Throttle assembly for my Aeronca Chief (11AC/65 horse). Have tried Wag-Aero and Aircraft Spruce + some private individuals so far. does anyone have the correct PN or another source to recommend ?

Have you tried the National Aeronca Association web site in the forums area? Try either the "Chief" or "parts wanted or for sale" sections, maybe someone has parts for sale.

Try www.univair.com They have 2 throttles cables of different lengths for the 11AC.
I have chased the throttle problem out, I guess. There are no real replacements for the original throttle Assy and the ones commercially available will not mount in a Chief due to the necessity to pass it through a weldment on the undercarriage tubing in the instrument panel. The replacement items are too large to pass and that is apparently what I have ,causing the strange controls location. Someday, I'll find that 70 year old part in new condition in the back of somebodys' barn.
