AIRPLANE INSURANCE: IT'S A BUYER'S MARKET
By Bob Mackey
EAA Aircraft Insurance Plan (Falcon Insurance Agency)
When you hear people say, "It's a buyer's market," you'd figure they're talking real estate or cars. What if I told you it's a buyer's market and airplane insurance is where you'll find the bargains? You'd probably say I'm nuts - certainly not the first time I've ever heard that - but I am here to tell you it's a buyer's market for airplane insurance! Read more (http://www.eaaonline.org/link.cfm?r=41212253&sid=16675377&m=1664267&u=ExAA&j=8150813&s=http://www.eaa.org/insurance/articles/2011-12-01_insurance.asp)

I've heard certified rates have come down recently but I sure haven't seen it in my experimental even with a hundred more accident free hours each year......

Given the author, I would say it's nothing more than a marketing/advertising ploy. When have insurance rates for ANYTHING ever gone down...except the time you turned 25 (or got married).

My RV-6 coverage dropped from ~$1100 to $985. Just got the quote today (same policy, same underwriter).
