I have 2 fascinating, detailed photo books for sale; ONE LAST LOOK , and THEIR FINEST HOUR, both by Kaplan.
Finest hour focuses on the Battle of Britain, lots of photos at fighter bases, both RAF and German,Spitfires , Hurricanes, lots to the 20 year old boys to men, who had much the fate of the world on their shoulders that summer. Lots of naratives of what if was like in the cockpits.
One last look is for the 8th Air Force heavy bomber group and bases in England. and lots of photos from then and some of the same bases now, battle damage coming back from missions.
These are large books, 10 by 10 and in excellent condition, $35 for both anywhere in U S.
