I have a complete set of original Thorp T-18 plans purchased from Eklund Engineering less than two years ago for $366.75 including shipping. This is the original design as modified by Thorp himself with enclosed cockpit and sliding canopy and larger engine to become the T-18 Tiger, not the redrawn and widened Sunderland S-18 version. Step-by-step building instructions were also published in Sport Aviation back in the day. See http://www.thorpt18.com/ and http://thorpcentral.com/.
I admire the elegance of Thorp's design and the plans are very clear and and beautifully drawn, but I have decided that a large, sheet-metal project is just not what floats my boat. The plans are very detailed and pretty much fill a USPS Priority Mail large, flat-rate box that measures about 12 x 12 x 6 in (30 x 30 x 15 cm).
I am moving and don't want to take them with me and want to see them go a good home. Make me an offer via PM.
