The Facetmobile was about 100 pounds overweight as an ultralight but the stall speed was spot on and the cruse speed was only a little fast. Anyone ever give consideration to building an ultralight of similar design? It really is an interesting plane and as odd as it looks it actually had pretty darn good performance.
Thanks
Bob

I am of the understanding that B.W. has no interest in doing an ultralight vertion of the Facetmobile.
He has done another ultralight vehicle but I have only seen a picture of it with no real description.

And I think for sure he's never going to get into something powered by a two-stroke again.

The Milt Hatfield Little Bird is the closest thing I can think of that is a low aspect ratio craft like the Facetmobile and still be a legal ultralight. However, like the facetmobile, you can't buy one.

Facetmobile (http://www.facetmobile.com/). Perhaps one could build some thing similar but with aluminum tubes and light weight fabric or plastic?

The Facetmobile was built with aluminum tubes and light fabric.
