Folks,

After listening to the buzz on axle replacements ($$$) on Cessna aircraft we have decided to investigate developing an STC to allow use of Grove solid axles. An STC would allow the proper replacement of the axle without the need for a field approval. What we need at this juncture is to get an OEM axle of the type installed on your ships.

I need one each axle from the following:

Model s/n Upper bolt Lower bolt p/n
120/140 8001-13399 1/4” 1/4” 0441107

150,A,B,C,D,E 17001-15061532 1/4” 1/4” 0441164-1
0441158-1 (6” only)

140A All 5/16” 5/16” 0441110
170/170A 18000-19219

150F,G,H,J,K All 5/16” 3/8” 0541124
170B,
172, 175,
180,A,B,C,D,E,F
182A-P

The axle does not need to be airworthy. I will be pleased to pay shipment costs. Part does need to be confirmed to be an original installation to that s/n aircraft (go through the logbooks...). One with an identifiable part number would be best. Feel free to PM me.

Thanks,

Wondering just how far this idea has progressed?
