Is anyone aware of an STC for engine replacement on a Porterfield 35/70?
Replacement LeBlond engines are thin on the ground!.

Find out the name of the Type Certificate holder. Then go to FAA.gov and search "STC," enter name of Type Certificate holder and it will yield all STC's for you aircraft model.

Nope. Only one variant of the leblond is on the TC and the only STCs for this airplane cover fabric.

Thanksguys - that is what I thought but then again I may have missed something.
Will try to catch up with the TC holder and maybe arrange something.

The Flyabout wouldn't look right without a LeBlond. Have you seen the Ryan SCW with a flat Continental up front? They've been trying to sell it for years and no one's interested. I can understand wanting a relatively more reliable engine with lots of spares support, but go buy a Skyhawk or a Cherokees and leave the pleasing lines of these grand old ladies intact!
