View Full Version : Thumbnail pictures duplication

I notice that when I upload a picture from my computer, not only does the picture appear, but a duplicate "thumbnail attachment" picture is at the bottom of the post. Does anyone reading the post see the duplicate? If so, is there a way to turn that feature "off" ? Seems to waste a lot of space in the thread to have the pictures posted twice.
Thanks,
John

Hi John -

I do see the duplicates in your posts, but not in most others. Can you give me the exact steps you're using to post a picture so I can see if we can recreate it and figure out what's going on?

Thanks -

Hal

Hi Hal!
Here are the exact steps:
1. I place my cursor where I want the picture to appear within the post.
2. I click on the "Insert Image" icon on the tool bar above the window where the post is typed-in.
3. A dialog box "Insert Image" appears and it gives the options of adding an image from a URL or adding from a computer.
4. I select the "computer" tab and then the "browse" button to find the image on my computer and click on "Open".
5. I then click the "Upload File" under the "browse" box and the image is pasted into my post. I just followed the steps and here is a picture:

When I "post quick reply" I'll see if the image and the thumbnail both appear!

Thanks,
John

Okay - may have resolved it with a setting on our end. Looks like vBulletin was defaulting to show both the inline image and a thumbnail. Give it a try and see what happens if you don't mind, John.
