I just bought an avenger yesterday, a lifelong dream! I can't find any information on the avenger, it always brings up the ficher avenger. I pretty much gathered the avenger is a phantom clone. Does any one have any info on this ultralight?

Are you speaking of a fisher Avenger?

Don't think he is... the OP said, "I can't find any information on the avenger, it always brings up the fisher avenger". Sounds like a different aircraft.

I think he is referring to Avenger ultralight. Which, since it's just a clone of a Phantom, why not just use the Phantom data as a guide for your plane? Plenty of Phantom information out there.

The Phantom evolved into the Avenger and then into the Hurricane.

Owned one, loved it. Strong, semi-symmetrical wing for getting upside down. High Vne (for the day) of 91 knots. 503 was the most common engine but many sported the 532/583.

Designed in the 80's in southern California by Jack Britton. Based on the Phantom but with many improvements.

Donnie Ecker took over after Jack was killed.

At some point, the name was changed to "Hurricane"

The torch was passed to Mike Kern of Aurora, Oregon in the 90's.

Currently out of production as far as I know.

Yes thank you! That's the avenger I was talking about. I'd like to get all the info I can on it, although it's a clone of the phantom, I was concerned with knowing the vne and what not on it, not to mention there is several differences between it and the phantom.
