I installed a 0200 in my L16 (Champ 7BCM) and used the old mount with no problem although some of the fit (air cleaner, etc.) depends on what you're installing it in. Whether you use the long or short Champion mount they are both use .035 tubing according to the drawings. Having said that, if you use the Lord mounts there is a slight modification to the mount bushing if I remember correctly. You can also use the conical mount adapters sold for about $120 on the internet. Again, depends on what you're installing it in but the engine will physically fit the mount. Hope this helps!

Wow, no kidding, good info. Some reaches beyond the small Continental audience, too. Thanks.

I would offer a suggestion on the mount itself, if it has been in service for as long as the airframe has, I would suggest that before a new engine gets hung, it be taken off, stripped, inspected, repaired if needed and repainted. I have done a few upgrades to older airframes and found small fractures in the weld that were hard to see under old paint. Just MHO.

Good point regarding inspection of the engine mount. Especially if you're going from an A65 to a 0200. I sent mine to Wag Aero where they found a small crack and rewelded it. The Buzz Wagner STC (which probably doesn't apply in this case) allows the holder to build a new engine mount of heavier material (.049 v.s. .035).
