A U.S. aircraft, a pilotless drone has attacked a wedding party in Yemen, killing 14 people.
This kind of thing has been going on for years and technology has now put distance between those in control and the final act of killing civilians so that I doubt if anyone will ever by held accountable, or that we will ever even know the name of the person who ordered the strike and certainly not the one flying the plane by computer, almost as if it was a video game not involving real people's lives.
These things can happen by mistake or even by some "trusted" source that is jealous of his neighbor who has a better poppy crop and so reports that person as Al Queda. Thus we make it easy for A Q to gain new recruits to avenge an act like this.

This a good point, but not a new one. Throughout history you will find countless examples of this, say medieval witch hunt. People would turn in their neighbor from thinking they stole a chicken. That house hold then would be 'tested' and dealt with by the authority. Others would then join in seeing is could be benefit them. All awhile the authority would keep their hands clean and gain support by just doing their job of cleaning the streets so to speak. This is nothing new, A Q has all the recruits they need regardless of acts like this. Its all about gaining control, it has been all along.
