I want to thank our Chapters for embracing the new adult Eagle Flights Program. As of today, our chapters have given 523 Eagle Flights to adults that have shown a real interest in learning how to fly and attaining their pilot's license.

Our chapters continue to have the Can Do Spirit and are using the Eagle Flights Program to not only grow the pilot population, but to grow membership in their chapter!

Invite that Eagle participant to join your chapter for support and mentoring. Also, to be a part of the EAA Aviation Community.

Thank you again for the support and the vision to grow aviation! Without you chapters, this would not happen.

Thanks again. Fly safe!

I just recently spoke with one of our chapter leaders from Chapter 55 in Mason Michigan and she completely "gets" what we are doing with Eagle Flights. This truly is a mentoring program, it is not just a ride. We do have Adult Ride Waivers, if it truly is not an Eagles Flight. When talking with a prospective "Eagle Flights Participant", ask them several questions regarding what their interest is in learning how to fly...how they see themselves using the ability to fly in their lives. Let them know that this is a mentorship program and that you highly recommend they join the chapter. EAA National gives them a six month trial membership, offer them a 3 month membership in your chapter and invite them to the next meeting. Tell them that you will be keeping in touch with them, introduce them or refer them to a CFI and/or flight school in your area. You will be able to tell right away...if all they want is a plane ride.....Eagle Flights Program...is a program...mentorship...having them join the EAA Community of Aviators thru your chapter...etc...etc....it is a commitment for both the Eagle Flight Pilot, Participant and the chapter as a whole. Hey...if they simply want a ride...use your descretion, but please contact for the proper Adult Orientation Ride Waiver.

Thanks again for all the support of the new (Adult) Eagle Flights Program!
