I am looking for a DAR who can issue an Expermintal exhibition airworthiness certificate for a Powered Parachute that wasn't certified years ago. It happens to be a Buckeye, single seat and I felt it should be numbered so I can add upgrades to it. Im located in the Chicagoland, IL area. Any suggestions?

I'd probably start with Brian McCallen at Light Sport Repair in northern Indiana. He builds the buckeye aircraft and is a DAR. He usually isn't the cheapest, however.

Here is the master DAR directory and the functions codes associated with each DAR's authorizations:

I have determined I need a function code 26. I have contacted the Dupage FSDO and they don't have an answer. The Springfield FSDO doesnt either. I wonder is there are any DARs around with a function 26 and PPC experience.

Maybe he only had a DAR cert for the ultralight transition, but since he has had the cert in the past and builds your type aircraft I would think it would be worth giving the guy a call.

MT Vernon might have one. Roy, not sure on his last name, he ran the Sport Pilot talk radio program, but I believe he might be able to point you in the right direction. he is big into PPC.
Just a thought.
