I'm designing a new Quadrant using a hydraulic rotary damper.
No friction control to adjust and to over come throttle creep. 50,000 rotations and still 80% of force of the damper.
Question is, what force would be most pleasing.

I would imagine that the lowest force that still I achieves zero creep would be best, but there still needs to be enough travel to allow fine adjustment.

A note of interest. I just finished a HATZ with a 0360 and an Ellison Throttle body. The Ellison requires 1 7/8" throw. The quadrant I used would not make the throw (found this out after plane was finished). Required a lot of post build modification and still short 1/8" (which Ellison says is not critical). Anyone planning on using an Ellison needs to know this. Which non reversing 3 arm quadrant will give me 2" of linear shaft extension if I want to replace what I have?

Hi Michael,
My L3NRI with out friction and the L3NRI-F have a 2-1/2" of throw. I could shorten it to 2" by lowering the connection point.
