Hi Folks,

As always, EAA's oral history program Timeless Voices of Aviation will be recording interviews throughout the week of AirVenture. We are looking for people with aviation experiences to tell their stories. Did you serve as a military pilot or mechanic? Did you design or build your own airplane? Do you work for an airline as a pilot, mechanic, flight attendant, baggage handler or in some other capacity? Are you a cropduster? Do you fly ultralights, autogyros, or powered parachutes? With the tremendous celebration of the Centennial of Naval Aviation this year, we are particularly interested in aviation stories from active Navy personnel and veterans, but all are welcome to sign up for an interview. The spectrum of aviation experiences we are interested in is endless and your story, no matter what it is, is important and we want to help preserve it.

Interviews are biographical in nature with a focus on aviation experiences. We will have two studios set up in the AirVenture Museum to handle the recordings. Interviews typically take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and all participants will receive an unedited DVD copy of their interview in the mail in the weeks following AirVenture. It is yours to keep.

If you would like to schedule an appoint to tell your story, please email me at zbaughman@eaa.org, or during AirVenture visit the Timeless Voices booth located in the Warbirds area of the convention grounds - you can look for us near the Fightertown Cafe.
Even if you do not want to tell your own story, chances are you know of someone whose story should be preserved. Stop by and let us know.

Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you at AirVenture 2011!!!
