Hey Guys,

Cessnas 2 Oshkosh cordially invites you to join the 2012 mass arrival into Oshkosh. Those of you who have already done it know this, but to those of you who have never done it, I will only say that it will be an unforgettable experience for you and your relatives and friends who fly and camp with you. It will also be the safest way to get into Oshkosh during the week of EAA AirVenture - Oshkosh.

Our 2012 registration drive is now open. We had a great day number one. Twenty (20) pilots signed up to fly our arrival, many of them, members of this forum.

The FAA has already contacted us (Wow!) to iron out the details of our arrival. No changes there. On July 21 at 14:30 CDT Cessna Lead will be touching down on the purple dot of Rwy 36L at Wittman Regional Airport - Oshkosh, followed in formation by as many planes as we can launch from Dodge County Airport in Juneau.

EAA's President, Mr. Rod Hightower, appointed Mr. John Carrier as the North 40 Liason to overlook the activities in the North 40 camping grounds. His first meeting with representatives from all the mass arrival groups was very productive. His appointment received high praises from all. The mass arrival groups now have an advocate to insure that our experience in the North 40 is the best.

If you would like to know more about us, please visit our website: www.cessnas2oshkosh.com (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com).

If you already made your decision and want to go ahead and sign up, fill out our registration form: www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/registration (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/registration)

I also would like to let you all know that the first 2012 issue of The Pirep,

Gil, I don't expect to be flying a Cessna into EAA, but if any of your members are in Colorado, near Boulder or Aspen and want to do any formation practice I'd be glad to help. I've done some with EAA, the T-34 group and CAF.
If so, let me know on this forum and good luck to you folks. Hope you don't meet the parking grinch that some others seem to have encountered.

Bill,

Thank you for your offer to help. I really appreciate it. Our man in Colorado is Steve Wolf. He's based in Fort Collins and runs a formation training clinic for our pilots there in June. We haven't yet set a date for 2012. I'll post information here and follow this forum to stay in touch. Please feel free to email me. I'll respond with my cell phone for future use.

Regarding ground operations and parking in the North 40, the news from Mr. John Carrier, the new EAA VP appointed by Mr. Rod Hightower to oversee operations in the North 40 and relations with mass arrival groups, are fantastic. If he can accomplish half the plan he has disclosed to us, we (and you warbird guys) will be in heaven.

Hey, I know this may sound cliché, but keep doing what you guys at CAF, T-34 Association and warbirds community in general are doing. We look at you guys with admiration and gratitude.

Regards,

Bill Greenwood

Thanks, I get a lot of maintenance done at Ft. Collins, the actual Ft. Collins, not Loveland which calls itself Ft. Collins also. There used to be a man named Steve Wolf, that flew an acro act, that is not the same person is it?

The T-34 is a fun little plane, acro capable, handles nice and very easy to fly, nothing that I have flown is that easy to land. Unfortunately I sold mine a few years back to get a little less cash drain from my accounts. I did a good bit of formation practice with the 34 group and it was informative and often a lot of fun, just was talking to Bill Cherwin, the leader at Chino last week. Some of the guys are the grim and serious type, but there are a few like Julie Clark that keep things light and fun.

I don't think our Steve Wolf is the Steve Wolf that you are referring to. Ours flies a Skylane, based at Fort Collins-Loveland (KFNL).

Dear Cessnas 2 Oshkosh Pilots and Friends,

We would like to inform all our pilots, especially those in the Southeast Region, that due to a forecast of serious adverse weather for the southern Alabama area, we must cancel the Alabama Clinic scheduled for Saturday April 21st at 9:00 AM.

The adverse weather forecast includes a tropical Wave/trough/cyclonic curvature with potential for severe thunderstorms and low ceilings. The system is extensive and is moving southeastward. At least two pilots scheduled to participate in this clinic will be flying from Central Florida and the system will cover almost their entire route of flight.

The clinic will be re-scheduled for mid-June. The definitive date will be announced within the next ten days and the date will depend on the availability of the lead pilot of the clinic, our Director of Training and Operations, Rodney Sawanson.

We are sorry for the inconvenience that this change may cause. Safety always comes first in planning our events. That is our pledge and responsibility to our pilots.

Hey Guys,

Cessnas 2 Oshkosh (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com) held two clinics this weekend, the Texas Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/t82_clinic.aspx) at Gillespie County Airport in Fredericksburg on Saturday and the California Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/kwjf_clinic.aspx) at General Wm J Fox Airfield in Lancaster on Sunday. The Alabama Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/0j6_clinic.aspx) at Headland Municipal Airport (http://www.flyheadland.org/) in Headland was cancelled due to adverse weather and will be rescheduled for Mid-June. A definitive date will follow soon.

Steve Holmes was the lead pilot of the Texas Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/t82_clinic.aspx). Nine (9) pilots in seven (7) aircraft participated and all nine (9) met the training requirement to fly the mass arrival on July 21st by completing the training program.

Dan Barley was the host pilot and Mike Jesch was the lead pilot of the California Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/kwjf_clinic.aspx). Six (6) pilots in an equal number of aircraft participated. Five (5) pilots met the training requirement to fly the mass arrival on July 21 by completing the training program. One (1) pilot participated as an observer.

Our appreciation goes to Dan, Mike and Steve for their hard work organizing and conducting these clinics. We congratulate all the participating pilots, especially those who completed their training and are planning to fly the Cessnas 2 Oshkosh Mass Arrival (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com) on July 21st. You are all one step closer.

To all of you out there, I'd like to remind you that Cessnas 2 Oshkosh (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com) has four (4) clinics scheduled in May and six (6) clinics scheduled in June. Details about these clinics will follow in future announcements. You may get the most up to date information about any of our clinics by visiting our website at: www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics)

Hey Guys,

I would like to remind everyone that Cessnas 2 Oshkosh (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com) is holding the Michigan Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/kphn_clinic.aspx) this coming Saturday, May 5 at St. Clair County International Airport (http://www.airnav.com/airport/kphn) in Port Huron. Phil Gilbert is the lead pilot of this clinic.

Follow the links in this message for more details.

Let us all hope for good weather and wish Phil and all the pilots participating in the Michigan Clinic a successful training session and lots of fun.

To register in any of our clinics, follow this link (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinicregistration.aspx). You must have previously registered to fly the Cessnas 2 Oshkosh Mass Arrival (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com) in order to register in any of our clinics.

Gil, you are following the CAF, T-34 and warbird guys! They wouldn't lead you astray would they? Kind of like having the Secret Service lead your vacation trip to South America.

If you have any first time formation people I would strongly suggest the get and watch the video made some years back by the T-28 group. Ok , I know it hurts the eyes to look at a 28 for more than a few moments, but the basic principles are good until the 51 group makes its own tape. You can ignore about the first 30 minutes which is philosophy and mostly nonsense, don't give up, they do fianlly get to the real flying and it is filmed and explained well. I suppose in your group you will be mostly in one mode, without many changes , but it it still good to know. It is much cheaper and safer to learn on the ground than in the air. i think EAA sells the videos and maybe Sportys.

Hey Guys,

We would like to inform those of you planning to attend the Michigan Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/kphn_clinic.aspx) in Port Huron next Saturday and wondering about the weather, that thanks to John Hughes, our "in-house" meteorologist, we have been going over the foreacasts with a scrutinizing eye on a daily basis.

This is today's report, based on the data available last night:

The latest longer range model run seems to return to the sanity I'd seen before Monday's run. There's still the lazy stationary front across IN, OH, and PA Saturday morning, but much less moisture supply and much reduced thunderstorm probabilities Saturday morning north of the front (MBS - 9%, PHN - 10%, BUF - 11%, ELM - 13%, HPN - 21%). Waited for the shorter range 00Z model run to come in, but it still doesn't reach into Saturday morning, so didn't learn anything new from that other than that ceilings and vsbys Friday night look to be good VFR (except for reduced vsbys at HPN). PHN winds Friday night variable from 3-7 kts.

We are meeting on a daily basis to assess the threat and will make a final go/no go decision on the Michigan Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/kphn_clinic.aspx) on Thursday evening.

Stay tuned!

Hey Guys,

Weather wise it's beginning to look good for our Michigan Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/kphn_clinic.aspx) in Port Huron.

This is John's most recent analysis based on the data available last night:

Right now things look pretty good for Saturday at KPHN, The outlooks are calling for cloudy conditions overnight Friday (still VFR though), rapidly clearing after daybreak Saturday. They're showing reduced vsbys overnight (maybe 3-5 miles), but rapidly improving to 6+ after daybreak. Precip probabilities are 30% overnight, becoming less than 10% after daybreak. Chance for thunderstorms appears to be negligible.

For you folks who may be flying in from NY (on Friday?), you may need to file just to get out of HPN. Rain likely with thunderstorms possible on Friday. Ceilings 2-3 thousand with vsbys 3-5 miles. Should have no icing problems below 10K. 20 kt headwinds at 3K increasing to 30-40 kts at 9K.

As of this time, the clinic is a go. We will post an update tomorrow morning.

Stay tuned!

If you are planning to attend the Michigan Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/kphn_clinic.aspx) and have not registered yet, please do so as soon as possible by following this link (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinicregistration.aspx) if you have already registered to fly the mass arrival.

Hey Guys,

It is definitely a go for the Michigan Clinic (https://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/KPHN_clinic.aspx) in Port Huron tomorrow.

This is John's weather update for today, based on the data available last night:

Looking good. KPHN should be good VFR all morning and afternoon from what I'm seeing now. Scattered to broken clouds with no ceilings below 6000'. Northeast winds around 10 kts and temps in the 50s warming to around 60. Chances for rain less than 10%.

Definitely IFR coming out of KHPN on Friday if you leave before 1800z, then improving to VFR. KROC should be VFR Friday afternoon and Saturday. Buffalo (KBUF) VFR all day Saturday.

As of this moment, we have ten (10) pilots registered for the Michigan Clinic (https://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/KPHN_clinic.aspx), most of us veterans of several Cessnas 2 Oshkosh (https://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/default.aspx) mass arrivals. It is going to be a great clinic!

See you all in Port Huron tomorrow!

Dear Cessnas 2 Oshkosh Pilots and EAA Friends,

The 2012 AirVenture NOTAM

1935 (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/documents/doc09.pdf)

is now available for download from the AirVenture website (http://www.airventure.or/flying/2012_notam.pdf) and from the Training page (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/training.aspx) of our website. The 2012 AirVenture NOTAM is obligatory reading for every pilot flying our mass arrival and must be carried on board during the mass arrival flight as mandated in the Letter of Agreement between the FAA and Cessnas 2 Oshkosh.

Visit our website at www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/training (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/training.aspx), download both documents and become familiar with the procedures.

We had a great clinic in Port Huron yesterday. A total of seven (7) pilots participated. Four (4) pilots completed the training requirement to fly the mass arrival, two (2) pilots had previously completed this requirement and acted as safety pilots and one (1) pilot participated as an observer and "copilot".

Unfortunately three (3) pilots were grounded at their home bases due to IMC weather conditions.

Congratulations to John Hughes, Peter Argue, Peter Millard and Jim Blackman.

Our thanks to Phil Gilbert for his hospitality. There's something about having a formation training clinic in a warm hangar, under the wings of a beautiful C182RG, in the company of a very friendly group of pilots.

We had a great time.

Hey Guys,

We would like to inform those of you planning to attend the Wisconsin and New Jersey Clinics in Oshkosh and Pittstown next Saturday and who are wondering about the weather, that thanks to John Hughes, our "in-house" meteorologist, we have been going over the foreacasts with a scrutinizing eye on a daily basis.

This is today's report, based on the data available last night:

Wisconsin:

The prog for Oshkosh still shows a weak N-S front passing through the area overnight Friday. Precip probabilities show 30-40% overnight Friday, dropping to less than 20% after 12Z Saturday. Thunderstorms possible overnight Friday, but chances appear negligible at OSH after the front moves through. Latest guidance calls for overcast skies Saturday morning and afternoon, with ceilings 6000' or better. Light north to northeast winds. If the front slows down, improving weather at OSH could be delayed.

New Jersey:

Looking great for the NJ site. Progs now show the area under the influence of a high pressure area centered over NC, and still projecting 0% precip probabilities for the area between Allentown (KABE) and Morristown (KMMU). Latest guidance is calling for clear skies and light west winds Saturday morning and afternoon.

We are examining the weather on a daily basis to assess the threat and will make a final go/no go decision on each clinic Friday morning.

Stay tuned!

Hey Guys,

This is today's report, based on the data available last night:

Wisconsin:

The prog for Oshkosh still shows that a weak N-S front now (Thursday evening) over the Dakotas, should pass through the OSH area overnight Friday. Precip probabilities of 30-40% at OSH overnight Friday will drop to around 10% after 12Z Saturday. Thunderstorms possible overnight Friday, but not expected at OSH after 12Z Saturday. Latest guidance calls for diminishing clouds Saturday morning becoming scattered by afternoon, with any ceilings 6000' or better. North winds 5-10 kts after 12Z Saturday.

New Jersey:

Great outlook for the NJ site. Progs still show the area under the influence of a high pressure area centered over NC and still projecting 0% precip probabilities for the area between Allentown (KABE) and Morristown (KMMU). Latest guidance still calls for clear skies and west winds 5-12 kts Saturday morning and afternoon.

We are happy to inform everyone that the Wisconsin Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/kosh_clinic.aspx) and the New Jersey Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/n40_clinic.aspx) are both a go for tomorrow. We wish all the participating pilots a great flying day, a productive clinic and lots of fun.

Dear Cessnas 2 Oshkosh Pilots and Friends,

We would like to inform all our pilots, especially those in the Southwest Region, that due to a forecast of serious adverse weather for the Phoenix/Mesa area of Arizona, we must postpone the Arizona Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/kcgz_clinic.aspx) scheduled for Saturday May 26 at 9:00 AM.

The adverse weather forecast includes high winds that make flying a serious hazard. At least two pilots scheduled to participate in this clinic will be flying over high mountainous terrain from points further west and the high winds forecast will cover almost their entire route of flight.

The Arizona Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/kcgz_clinic.aspx) will be re-scheduled for late June. The definitive date will be announced within the next ten days and the date will depend on the availability of Craig Chipley, the lead pilot of the clinic.

We are sorry for the inconvenience that this change may cause. Safety always comes first in planning our events. That is our pledge and responsibility to our pilots.

Dear Cessnas 2 Oshkosh Pilots and EAA Friends,

I would like to announce that Cessnas 2 Oshkosh (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com) is holding its Maryland Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/khgr_clinic.aspx) this Saturday June 2 starting sharply at 9:00 AM, EDT (UTC-4).

The Maryland Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/khgr_clinic.aspx) was formerly the West Virginia Clinic. The location of the West Virginia Clinic was changed to the Hagerstown Regional Airport-Richard A Henson Field (KHGR) (http://www.airnav.com/airport/khgr) in Hagerstown, Maryland. KHGR (http://www.airnav.com/airport/khgr) is located only 22 nm Northeast of the Eastern WV Regional Airport/Shepherd Field (KMRB) (http://www.airnav.com/airport/kmrb) in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Follow the links in this message for more details.

Airspace Alert

Our upcoming training session at Hagerstown Regional Airport-Richard A Henson Field (KHGR) (http://www.airnav.com/airport/khgr) will bring us close to the Washington DC Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) (https://faasafety.gov/gslac/ALC/course_content.aspx?cID=55) and even closer to the 60 nm ring around the DCA VOR, where speed restrictions apply to aircraft capable of flying over 250 knots and special awareness training requirements apply to every VFR flying pilot. Furthermore it will also bring us close to P-40 and extremely close to its associated R-4009, activated when the POTUS is at his retreat in Camp Davis. As you all are very aware, flight operations within P-40 are prohibited and within R-4009 and the Washington DC Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) (https://faasafety.gov/gslac/ALC/course_content.aspx?cID=55) are strictly regulated and violations of this most sensitive airspace are sanctioned severely.

I recommend that every pilot attending the Maryland Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/khgr_clinic.aspx) makes an extra effort to become familiar with the flight procedures in and around P-40, R-4009 and the Washington DC Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) (https://faasafety.gov/gslac/ALC/course_content.aspx?cID=55). I also urge every pilot attending our clinic to check the NOTAMS applicable to this area for activation of R-4009 immediately prior to departure. The best source of information about this topic is the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) Washington DC Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) Course (https://faasafety.gov/gslac/ALC/course_content.aspx?cID=55). It is available on the FAA Safety program website. If the links above don't work for you, copy and paste the following url into your browser's address line: https://faasafety.gov/gslac/ALC/course_content.aspx?cID=55 (https://faasafety.gov/gslac/ALC/course_content.aspx?cID=55).

Weather Update

From the latest computer models, it looks like the frontal system mentioned yesterday will push on through the KHGR area before 12z Saturday. Heavy rains are likely in the area Friday night, but it's now looking like rain ending before 12z Saturday with rapid clearing shortly thereafter. Any remaining clouds should be at or above 5000', with northwest winds 10 kts or less. Expect cool temps in the upper 50s and 60s.

Another update in 24 hours.

We encourage all Cessnas 2 Oshkosh (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com) pilots within reasonable flight time of Hagerstown, Maryland to register for the
Maryland Clinic (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/clinics/khgr_clinic.aspx) as soon as possible as we are entering the final stretch before our mass arrival and we need to have everyone properly trained.

If you have not registered to fly the mass arrival yet, you may do so by following this link (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com/signup.aspx). At the same time you may sign up to participate in any of our clinics.

Fly safe,

TeenDoc

Dear Cessnas 2 Oshkosh Pilots and EAA Friends,

Airspace Alert Update

As stated yesterday, our training session at Hagerstown Regional Airport-Richard A Henson Field (KHGR) (http://www.airnav.com/airport/khgr) tomorrow will bring us very close to P-40 and its associated R-4009, activated when the POTUS is at his retreat in Camp David.

The FAA has issued FDC NOTAM 2/5764 activating R-4009, effectively designating it NATIONAL DEFENSE AIRSPACE. Flight restrictions dictated by FDC NOTAM 2/5764 will become effective June 2 at 15:00 Local (19:00 UTC) and will be in effect until June 3 at 1530 Local (19:30 UTC).

Even though we are planning to be done with the clinic by 15:00 Local, we all know that things happen and we may not end on time. Even if FDC NOTAM 2/5764 ends up not affecting our practice flights, it will definitely affect the return home flights of our pilots. Last but not least, the effective time of NOTAMS designating NATIONAL DEFENSE AIRSPACE may change with very short notice. It only takes a last minute decision from the Secret Service. We urge our pilots to be extremely cautious in their flight planning and even more cautious navigating in close proximity to P-40 /R-4009. As you all are aware, violations of this most sensitive airspace are sanctioned severely.

To read the FDC NOTAM 2/5764, visit the FAA PilotWeb at: https://pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/PilotWeb/ (https://pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/PilotWeb/), scroll down and click on ARTCC Notices, TFRs and Special Notice Page, check off ZDC (KZDC) Washington,DC and click on View TFRs.

Weather Update

For KHGR, models still projecting the frontal system to move through a little after midnight Friday, though with thunderstorms and heavy rain as it does. By 12z Saturday, models show precipitation should have ended with scattered to broken clouds and any ceilings well above VFR minimums and no restrictions to visibility. Precipitation chances after 12z look to be well below 20%. West to west-northwest winds 10 to 15 kts with temps in the upper 50s rising to near 70 by mid afternoon.

Looks like a good day to fly!

We encourage all Cessnas 2 Oshkosh (http://www.cessnas2oshkosh.com) pilots within reasonable flight time of Hagerstown, Maryland to register for the

If any prop Cessna exceeds that 250 knot Indicated Airspeed restriction, I'd suspect about an 80 knot error in that instruement.

We had a great clinic today. A total of nine (9) pilots participated in different roles. Two (2) pilots who had already attended a clinic in 2012 and had met the training requirement to fly the mass arrival on July 21 participated as safety pilots. Four (4) pilots who had flown the mass arrival in previous years and one (1) pilot who is participating this year for the first time completed the clinic and met the training requirement to fly the mass arrival. One (1) pilot who is also participating this year for the first time completed the ground portion of the training requirement and will complete the flight portion as soon as his plane comes out of annual. One (1) more pilot participated as our guest observer and covered the clinic for the AOPA ePilot online magazine.

Berry Gamblin was a wonderful host who worked tirelessly planning the clinic, surveying the airspace and the terrain, securing the excellent facilities of Rider Jet Center, a beautiful FBO attended by very nice people, and coordinating the flight operations with Hagerstown ATC Tower. Thanks Berry.

Our thanks also go to Katie, the manager at Rider's, who greeted us with a batch of freshly baked cookies by her, freshly brewed coffee and three dozens of donuts from a well known establishment, set up the classroom, placed our lunch order and arranged for the delivery in perfect synchronization.

The practice sortie consisted of three (3) elements of two (2) aircraft each. We paired a 210 HP Hawk XP with a 160 HP C172 (That was interesting!), two (2) C177 Cardinals and a C210 Centurion with a C206 Stationair.

We learned a bit, shared our passion with each other and had a lot of fun in the process.

...and we were done ten (10) minutes before P-40 + R-4009 went hot!

Weather Update for the Olympia-Seatle, Washington Area
A dying low off the coast will still bring some moisture into the area from the south on Saturday. It is too early for detailed ceiling and visibility numbers from computer projections. Early projections show precipitation probabilities around 50% on Saturday with overcast cloud cover. Precipitation amounts look to be light with thunderstorm probabilties 15% or less.
Ceiling and visibility projections in tomorrow's outlook. Stand by!

Hey Guys,

This is today's report, based on the data available last night:

Washington:

It looks like the dying low off the coast will continue to circulate moist air over the area on Saturday, producing mainly overcast skies and periods of light rain. The weather for Saturday should look not unlike the forecast for Thursday in the latest TAF - ceilings 2-3 thousand feet, vsby generally 6 miles or better, and 50% chance of light rain. South-southwest winds around 10 kts. Temps generally in the 50s.

North Carolina:

High pressure over the area should produce great flying weather. The latest model run shows virtually clear skies, no restrictions to vsby, and winds out of the southwest around 5 kts. Temps in the 60s in the morning, warming into the 80s by afternoon.

Another update tomorrow.

Fly safe,

TeenDoc

Hey Guys,

This is today's report, based on the data available last night:

Washington:

Though the dying surface low we've been watching off the coast is no longer in evidence, a significant upper level low (500 mb level) will continue to bring moisture, clouds, and generally light precipitation to the area for Saturday. Both the NAM and GFS forecast models show ceilings at OLM from 1-2 thousand feet at 15Z Saturday, 2-3 thousand feet at 18z, and 2-5 thousand ft at 21z. Visibilities should be 6 miles or better, with precipitation chances in the 20-40% range and any precipitation amounts expected to be light. Surface winds from the southwest at 10-15 kts. Temperatures in the 50s to near 60.

North Carolina:

High pressure continues to dominate the area. Models continue to project nearly clear skies and unrestricted visibilities for Saturday. Precip chances less than 10%. Surface winds from the southwest 5-10 kts. Temps in the 60s, rising to the mid 80s by afternoon.

Nearly perfect weather for flying!

Will provide another update for the Olympia-Seattle area after today's 12z model runs have been digested. Stand by.

Fly safe,

Hey Guys,

This is today's report, based on the most current available data, virtually without change from the beginning of the week:

Following passage of the frontal system that worked its way through the midwest on Thursday, high pressure centered over the lower Great Lakes will dominate Saturday's weather in the Kansas City area. Barring drastic changes from current projections, expect generally scattered fair weather clouds, negligible chance of precipitation, and south to southeast winds around 15 kts. Temperatures rising to near 90 from overnight lows in the mid 60s.

Weatherwise this clinic is a definite GO!

Fly safe and have fun,

How many Cessnas do you think will be in your formation group this year??

TeenDoc

We have 56 registered aircraft. The last minute attrition rate is between 15 and 20%. Probably 45-50.
