Does anyone have any experience with the $200 varitiy of videoscope type boroscopes typically sold by ATS, and auto places? I'm looking at them mainly for airframe, wing inspections, and of course whatever in the engine. It would be for personal use only....

Appreciate your opinons.

Screens are small, focus is horrible, and the display is fuzzy.

Want to see one work? go to Home Depot and ask to see a "Sea Snake"

I agree with Tom. I've not found an acceptable borescope costing less than $700-$800. I keep looking, though, eventually I'll find one.

The best one I have found was demonstrated for the Navy When I worked for them. it was the Hawkeye flexible.

it isn't cheap. last I looked it was over a grand.

I saw that ATS has a MV201 that it claims is " we now have pinhead-sized video cameras with resolutions equal to, or better than the best fiberscopes of a few years ago."

Has anyone had any experience with that one?
